The Women’s Inter-Church
Council of Canada prepares an annual liturgy for use on December 6, Canada’s national day of remembrance and action on violence against women. This ecumenical service of remembrance and hope, written by Council members Janet Anstead, Amy Hill, Dineke Kraay, and Norma Wrightly, is available free of charge.
Please feel free to adapt the service to your comfort level.
WICC was mentioned in two news publications on December 6, 2011:
The Globe and Mail and The Prince Albert Daily Herald.
Consider having a commemorative service in your community. The December 6th poster (pdf 245K) can help you get the word out in your area.
Following your service, kindly contact us with reports of your service including the number of attendees.
